Georgie
I lie to survive.
Have since I was sixteen and my world fell into chaos. But I found a way to endure, or rather it found me. Now I’m a prisoner of my own doing, hiding behind a false mask so no one sees the truth. Not even the man I want but can’t have—Deck. But I messed up and the lies are spilling over, out of control.
Deck is unrelenting and will settle for nothing less than the truth. He demands everything from me—EVERYTHING—even if it rips me apart.
DECK
I kill for a living.
Unyielding—It’s how I survive in my line of work. I bend people to my will…except Georgie.
But that ends now.
I've played her game for far too long, but not anymore. Now I think it's time we play mine.
*18+ due to sexual content, strong language and violence.
Review
Nashoda Rose is definitely an author to watch out for. She is quickly taking the author world by storm. I fell in love with her books the minute I picked up her debut novel With You. With every book I read by her, my love for her as an author continues to grow. I can honestly say that after reading Perfect Chaos, I highly doubt that there is any book that Nashoda could write that I wouldn’t love.
Perfect Chaos is about Deck and Georgie. Before you read Perfect Chaos, I suggest that you start off by reading With You, Torn from You, and Overwhelmed by You first. You don’t necessarily need to read them first but it helps with backstories and learning how we are first introduced to the characters.
Many people fell in love with Georgie throughout the Tear Asunder books that are already released. I mean, what’s not to love? She’s fun, witty, and has a snarky attitude toward Deck. Now, what everyone wanted to know after reading about Georgie is how did she get this way and way does she act like that toward Deck. Finally, we get our answers.
The book starts out and we are immediately pulled into the moment when Georgie’s world crashes around her. It is in that moment that Deck tells her and her family that Connor, her brother, was killed in Afghanistan. Her brother dying has had a huge impact on her life and makes her who she is today so it was interesting to see how she dealt with that horrible news. Deck promised Connor that he would look after Georgie and that is what he plans on doing whether she likes it or not.
The dynamic between Georgie and Deck is one that no words can explain. Deck is the only one that can see through her fake persona that she has going on and it absolutely bugs her. In turn, Georgie’s attitude and actions are driving Deck crazy. They both want each other but Deck is afraid to cross those boundaries. Oh, but when those boundaries get crossed the sex scenes are insanely hot and very panty- dropping worthy.
This book was one of my most anticipated releases because I was dying to know more about Deck and Georgie. I can honestly say that I thought this book was phenomenal and well worth the wait. The minute I started Perfect Chaos, I didn’t want to put it down at all. Unfortunately, I had little things like work and college that got in the way. Though, I did find myself sneaking to read it a bunch during work. That was a huge mistake. Let’s just say my co-workers really loved me while I was reading this book.
Nashoda writes her books in a way that you can’t help but experience what the characters are. That is what makes her an amazing author. I can’t wait to read more from her. I especially can’t wait to read Kai’s story.
***** out of 5 stars.
When she isn’t writing, she can be found sitting in a field reading with her dog at her side while her horses graze nearby. She loves interacting with her readers on Facebook and chatting about her addiction—books.
