Code Name: Luminous Natasza Waters Release Blitz

Tony Bale must stop a deadly virus before
it’s launched on the United States, and resist an undefeatable desire to take
Lumin’s innocence. Mission success probability: slim.

Since their brief meeting, Lumin Edenridge can’t
squelch her dreams of the handsome Navy SEAL who moved through her life like a
shadow. By daylight he was gone, but the craving in his gaze left a mark. When
she wakes up next to a dead scientist involving her in a terrorist plot, street
smarts won’t help her survive. She needs Tony.

The stunning aerialist Tony left in Las Vegas
lingers in his memory. A seven month deployment looms when he answers Lumin’s
distress call. Defending her is his first priority. When terrorists turn her
into a weapon, Lumin hides to protect him. His team name is Tinman, and he has
twelve hours to rescue the woman who possesses his heart in “Code Name:
Luminous”.

“Lumin?”

“I’m sorry,Tony, but I didn’t know who else to
call.”

“What’s going on?”

“I think I’m in big trouble. You need to tell me
what to do.” The signal cut out, and her heart leaped into her throat. “Are you
still there?”

“I’m here, sweetheart, what kind of trouble?” he
asked, his voice hardening. “Is it Quadero? Did he find out you helped us?”

“No, it’s not Quadero"

Lumin hooked her fingers in a strand of hair,
tugging to replace her rampaging fear with pain. She hesitated.

“Don’t hang up,” Tony commanded as if sensing her
misgivings. “You can tell me, Lumin. I can hear you’re scared. Whatever it is,
you’re not alone, okay?”

“Do you know what Yersinia Pestis is?” she blurted.

A deep rumble from Tony’s throat preceded his
answer. “The Bubonic Plague.”

“Yes. In the Middle Ages it was passed through
contact, but imagine if it were engineered into an airborne virus and mutated
every thirty-six hours. It would kill millions of people.” She licked her dry
lips. “I think they’ve made one.”

“The Bubonic Plague is a bacteria, and who is
they, Lumin?”

“I—don’t know who they are, but I think they
know who I am.” Her voice stuttered. “You must have contact with people who can
look into this. I heard a name, Dr. Clifford Bjornson. That might lead you
somewhere. I have to go.”

“Wait! How do these people know you?”

Lumin dropped the sheet and reached for her
dress. She pulled it over her head. Squeezing the phone between her ear and
shoulder, as she did up the buttons she said, “Because Dr. Bjornson’s partner
is lying dead in my bed.”

I grew up on the beautiful West Coast
of British Columbia with the Pacific Ocean on my western doorstep, and
thousands of acres of forest on the other. After finishing school, my life took
a drastic twist, and a lifelong working relationship with the marine industry
began.
After a twenty-year hiatus from my
creative writing, the stories swirling in my mind began to swim hard to
resurface, and I threw them a life ring. I juggle my creativity during my days
off, and then get back down to business, working in Vancouver Harbour. My life
is a mix of creativity vs. black and white procedures. With a lifetime of
working in the marine community, there’s plenty of stories to tell. It’s a
different world, different language, unsung heroes and heroines aplenty, heated
moments, and blissful silence when all is well. Reading and writing is the way
I turn down the loud hum that my work causes, and after thirty years of
humming, it’s time to vent.

Are you a
fan of action packed military suspense?  Check out this interview
with Natasza Water, author of the CODE NAME series which
offers a thrill ride that will leave you breathless!
RCPR: Hi Natasza.  I hear you have a new book coming out on November 7th, Code Name: Luminous.
Tell us a little about it.
Natasza: Hello Amy! Yes, ma’am, CNL (we use
a lot of acronyms in the services) is the fourth book in “A Warrior’s Challenge”
series. It’s considered military suspense, but I tell people not to run
screaming in the other direction. Every story is locked and loaded with the
most realistic, sexy warriors any woman would want to meet. As a whole, the
series is dedicated to all the men who serve their country and the women strong
enough to stand beside them. Code Name: Luminous is action and suspense from
end to end.

possesses his heart in “Code Name: Luminous”.
RCPR: Wow.
Writing Military suspense must take a lot of knowledge into this life.
Were you previous military yourself or do you have other contacts that you get
your facts through?
Natasza: I can’t say previous yet since I’m
still serving. Thirty-one years and counting. I would say a great portion of
the story lines comes from real life. Either an incident I’ve worked or others
officers I’ve worked with. Many of the characters are based on men or women I
know. A little tweak here and there, and you’ve got intense, complex, and
gritty heroes and heroines.
RCPR: Code
Name: Luminous is book four in your series, correct?  How many more do you
have planned?
Natasza: I have one more book in my contract
with Secret Cravings Publishing. I hope to do three more books. I never imagined readers falling
in love with the warriors of Alpha Squad like they did. They all need a story.
RCPR: Have
you ever considered branching out into a new genre?  If so, what would
that be and why?
Natasza:Interesting
that you mention that, then again, doesn’t every author look over the fence
from time to time. LOL. I’m going to release my first self-published novel by
the end of this year. It’s a contemporary love story, but I won’t be drifting
far from the water. It will be located in Florida with ex-Marines as the
heroes. I do have one series sitting on the back burner waiting for the right
time to release. It’s an epic tale which would be lumped into the paranormal
genre. There are six books in total and it’s an apocalyptic tale weaving the
bible, the five elements of our world: earth, wind, fire, water and mankind’s
link to heaven into a romantic thriller.
RCPR: If you
could go on one of the special ops in one of your books, which would it be and
why?
Natasza: Been
there, done that, got the pay check to prove it.
:) The only thing I haven’t done is
jump out of a plane. I’m sure it’ll happen when it’s meant to. I’m just praying
it’s a planned event vs a necessity.
RCPR: Are
you a dare devil at heart or do you let your characters take all of the risks?
Natasza: I suppose I was more dare and devil
when I was thirty years younger. Now, I like my creature comforts, but don’t
drive in the fast lane at 40 clicks, if I’m behind ya!
RCPR: I see
that you have book trailers for your Code Name series.  Where is the best
place to find those?
Natasza: I have the
trailers for all my books posted on my site
http://nataszawaters.com/446-2
and on You Tube. Code Name: Luminous can be found here.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOHkkKXLjEE
RCPR: What
events will you be attending in 2015?
Natasza: I’m looking forward to a couple of events in
particular. I’m joining several authors in July for the “Magnolias and
Mausoleums” in New Orleans.
I’m also a
professional reviewer with InD’Tale magazine which many people know is dedicated
to indie and self-published writers. We give honest, supportive feedback to
authors and their hard work. Everyone is reviewed with the same balanced
criteria. We accept all sub-genres (except erotica) as long as it has a thread
of romance.
 InD’tale is also
the home of the “Oscar for Indies” known as the Romance of Novel Excellence or
R.O.N.E award.
Next
September InD’tale and RedCoat PR will be bringing a special convention for
readers and authors to Palm Springs
called the InD’Scribe Author and Reader Con.
If you’re an
author or a reader this will be an epic event.
RCPR: If
there was one thing you could say to your younger self, what would it be?
Natasza: Buy that
darn real estate ya big dummy! LOL.
Folks who think about penning their first tale often ask how do you do it? I
tell them, “
When creativity crosses paths with determination a book will be
born.” I think I knew that thirty years ago, but I didn’t listen and went on my
merry way
giving the Coast Guard and family my attention. But, it’s never
too late to create.”
RCPR: Who
has been your biggest supporter along the way?
Natasza: Name one? Don’t think I can. No book comes to
publication without many moving parts. From family, to friends, to editors like
TJ Mackay of InD’Tale magazine, to other authors who crit your lousy first
draft, to good luck and hard work, it’s all part of the wheel that keeps
turning and motivating an author to tell their tale.
“Another strap yourself in, bite your nails and fall in love
again read from one of the most promising romantic suspense authors today!”

~TJ Mackay, Publisher, InD’tale Magazine

Natasza Waters
spends her time creating stories with a twist of steam, plenty of action, and
characters to dream about. “Too Grand For Words” was released in October of
2011. A Warrior’s Challenge series beginning with “Code Name: Ghost” is a high
octane U.S. Navy SEAL series with men of honor, resilient women and a storyline
hard to forget.
