Share The Moon by Sharon Struth is a touching story about
learning to love again. It has everything you could ever want in a book love,
steamy kisses, immediate attraction, mystery, and drama. The main characters
both experienced some type of loss and that’s one of the things that bonded
them together. This is the first book by Sharon that I have read and it will
definitely NOT be my last.
They say you always remember your first love. Well, Duncan
has never forgotten his, Sophie Shaw. She has haunted him his whole life. While
vacationing in Northbridge, He used to love the days when he and his father
visited the local tackle shop. It was there that he fell in love at first site
with the beautiful Sophie. The only problem was she didn’t really know he
existed. When he has the opportunity to return again after all these years, he
eagerly ceases the opportunity. The only problem is that Sophie has no clue who
Duncan is. Though it doesn’t help that Duncan lied and said his name was Carter
when they first meet again.
Sophie is on the verge of getting the thing she has wanted
for a long time, owning a vineyard. The only problem is a company called RGi
has swooped in and outbid her for the land. The night of the big town meeting
over the land, she meets a handsome stranger who introduces himself as Carter.
He is new to town or so she thinks. She gets the shock of her life when she
finds out that “Carter” really is Duncan, one of the owners of RGI. The immediate
attraction between them is hard to deny. The only problem is she is assigned to
cover Duncan and RGI. If her boss finds out she has a thing for him, she’s
afraid of what will happen. The fight over the land commences and only one can
win.
Though it got off to a slow start, this story was amazing
and you couldn’t help but be immersed page after page. I found myself
neglecting everything and everyone around me. What made this book even more
interesting was that it was about middle aged single parents. Many books lately
focus on twenty something individuals. Even though that’s my age, I like to
read about a variety of different ages. This is definitely a book I will
recommend to everyone.
